Here is an example by a Graphics 2 Student--turning a pic of 8th grade basketball boys into a poster similar to the "Every Man A Wildcat" K-State poster that hangs around our school. (Sorry, Jayhawk fans!) We might go back and look at the dramatic lighting on the KSU men.
We are going to decide what to do with other members of the basketball team for more poster ideas later-- we will be looking up more ideas today!
Students have a newer version of PhotoShop--everything is a little different than it was on our old version. We created some "Eric Carle" caterpillars just to find out where all of the new tools were located. There were some new items to choose from, like the leaf brush above and painting with wet edges, patterns, and grass. A few examples are featured above.
Anna C. (6th grade) whipped out these little animals in no time today...the students were experimenting with watercolors and creating monkeys, etc. This is a good example of something "stylized".
Students in Art 2, Fall semester made some awesome guitars. I don't have all of them photographed unfortunately, but they were all so cool! We used leftover wood, newspaper, and some paper from the recycling bin.
